Meet Dr. Marcy
Dr. Marcy Newman (known as Dr. Marcy) has earned her doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego in December of 2019. She has been treating people of all different ages with acupuncture, lifestyle management, and herbal therapies since 2005. Her practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico spanned from 2005-2011. Dr. Marcy obtained her iRest Yoga Nidra Teacher and Caritas Coach certifications in 2021.
Dr. Marcy has a wide and variety background of Whole Health, wellness, health promotion and clinic nursing with the Veterans Health Administration since 2014. She is the former Employee Whole Health Program Manager for the Phoenix, VA Health Care System. Dr. Marcy has been in the nursing field since 2012 and incorporates her backgrounds of acupuncture/Oriental Medicine, public health and dental hygiene when called upon in various venues. Dr. Marcy is the Employee Whole Health Coordinator for the Wilmington VA Medical Center in Wilmington, DE.
Ms. Newman has earned 3 master’s degrees in nursing, acupuncture/Oriental Medicine and public health and a doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Dr. Marcy. has been educating various groups locally, regionally, and nationally–about the Whole Health program, iRest meditation and Employee Whole Health - a proactive, patient-centered model of health care. Her greatest passion is helping anyone interested in engaging in their journey to wellness.
Finally, Dr. Marcy was an adjunct faculty professor for Pacific College of Health and Science for the Masters in Health Coaching and the Transitional Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine students.
